DOCUMENTATION: 1. Original ocean bill of lading / air waybill 2. Passport for the entire family 3. Inventory + Invoices of new items 4. Brief details of shipments, mentioning family members and their passports numbers 5. Customs baggage declaration obtainable from the airport customs counter on arrival 6. Certificate from the employer stating income sources of the shippers 7. Import license issued by department of commerce, H.M.G. of Nepal and/or duty exemption certificate

VEHICLES: Documentation required: all similar documents as for HHG/PE. In place of list of contents, invoice required for new new automobile, and previous registration paper or ownership certificate in case the automobile was used. Chassis number and engine number are required to obtain import exemption certificate in both cases. Note: Due to economic situation in India, all third country shipments into Nepal are subject to strict scrutiny at the port of Calcutta. Documents must be precise and complete, even a slight mistake may result in the indefinite delays in clearance, increasing documentation requirements and expense. It is imperative that the requirements documents be sent to the destination agent 15 days prior to arrival.
